How I can help

Design

From initial conversation to final visuals, I'll work with you to create a design that fits your brand and makes sense to your audience. We'll start with content planning, explore visual direction through moodboards, structure it with wireframes, then bring it all together.

Development

I turn your design into a working website with clean, organized code. This includes planning the technical structure, integrating any tools you need (booking systems, payments, forms), thorough testing across devices and browsers, and handling the launch. Built to work reliably from day one.

Maintenance

Ongoing support to keep your site secure, fast, and functional. From security updates and bug fixes to content changes and performance monitoring, I handle the technical maintenance so your site keeps working without you having to think about it.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

expand

How much do projects cost?

Projects start at around £800-900, but the final cost depends on what you need and how custom you want to go.

  • Quick launch - basic pages to get you online fast: usually under £1,500.
  • Custom build - tailored design: low thousands, depending on complexity.
  • Fully custom with editing - allows you to update content yourself: mid thousands.

Tell me your budget and what you're trying to achieve, and I'll tell you honestly what's possible.

How long does a project take?

I set a minimum of four weeks per project. The timeline depends on complexity and how quickly we can get through iterations and feedback

expand

How many revisions are included?

Revisions are part of the process. I understand that the first draft is often just that, a draft. This means I include up to three rounds of revisions to refine the design and functionality.

expand

How do you define a revision?

Once the design is ready, I will send it to you for approval, and we will discuss what works and what needs changing. That will be the first revision. The second and third one will follow the same process.

Of course, if you love the first version, I promise I won't be upset about it 😀

How are payments handled?

Payments are split into three stages:

  • - 33% upfront deposit
  • - 33% when design is approved
  • - 34% upon final delivery, before deployment.

Who owns the final website once it’s done?

Once the project is complete and final payment is made, you own all rights to your website and its content. I'll hand over all necessary files and access so you're in full control. All the specifics will be covered in the contract we sign before starting work.

Can you create a website if I have the design already?

Of course. Just hand over the design files or access to the platform (Adobe XD, Illustrator, Figma etc.).

expand

What browsers do you support?

Current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. If you're using an updated browser on a reasonably modern device, the site will work fine.

expand

What do you need in order to start working?

This depends on the details of the project, but assuming the paperwork and financials have been set up, and we've agreed on what the project is about, I will at least need the following:

  • - The website text
  • - Images, logos, links, and other resources
  • - If you have them already, domain and hosting details

Do you offer maintenance and updates after launch?

It depends on what kind of site you have:

If you have a CMS (content management system): You can handle most updates yourself: adding pages, changing text, updating images. I'm available if you need help or want to add new features.

For other sites: I'm available for ongoing maintenance, updates, and improvements. We can work out a retainer or project-based arrangement depending on what you need.

What's a CMS and do I need one?

A CMS (Content Management System) lets you update the website yourself without needing to code: blog posts, pages, text, images, that sort of thing. I use Wagtail, a modern CMS built on Python and Django - the same technology trusted by NASA, Google, NHS, and Instagram. It's secure, reliable, and straightforward to use

You might want one if:

  • You update content regularly (news, menus, offers)
  • You don't want to call me every time you need to change something
  • Multiple people need to manage the site

You probably don't need one if:

  • Your content rarely changes (like a simple business card site)
  • You're happy to ask me for updates

We'll discuss what makes sense for your situation.

Do you offer hosting?

Not yet, but I'm happy to point you toward providers I trust, or I can work with whatever hosting you already have.
